Supporting New Designer Freebies :)

I spend far too much time hanging out in the Second Life forums. Recently, a thread was started and built on, giving advice to new designers and store owners. I offered to list them here, and put their blogs in my side bar. So please, go check out these new designers!

At Dresses and Fashions of Talon Faire, you'll find a lovely tank top for free. Some nice clothes here, take a look around.

A few words about E! Eclectic Accessories. We can find all the clothing and jewelry in the world, but the little accessories that set us apart are a bit more difficult to find. At E!, you'll find fun objects, guaranteed to make you stand out from the crowd. When you land, go around the corner to the right, and look for the butterfly hair accessories - the teal one is free.

At Domicile, you will find a free mini-arbor (or Arrr! Bor, as it's called here *smile). You'll find skyboxes, furniture and fireplaces here, at very reasonable prices. Need a male avatar starter kit? There's one here! :)

Want a free towel rack? At JoJo's Pose Pillows, you'll find one! There are lots of other freebies here as well, but you have to look for them. There are lots of beautiful blankets, pillows, wall hangings and curtains here to see too!

Remember, these are people new to business, so please come out and take a look at their stuff. Show them some support!

Killing time freebies

A Piece of Candy is offering a free t-shirt and pants at the entrance. On the 2nd floor, is one of Candy's skins, for only 1L, a bikini for 1L, and a red dress for free. The skin will only be there for a few hours, so hurry on that one!

At Lemania Indigo Designs, who I had not heard of, but will be keeping my eye on, you can get a very nice dress at her "Barn" for only 1L. There are others here for only 50L and quite nice! Next door to the right, you'll find a pair of sculpted high heels in plaid for 1L. I wasn't too sure of these from the description but they're good, and they match the "40's country chic" dress that also sells for 1L and which sits right behind the shoes.

Designs by Nissa Rayna (DbNR) is offering most of their stock at 1L. Need a house? There are several here for 1L each. There's a dock, a couple of gazebos, furniture - everything you need to start a home! These won't be up for long, from what I hear.

Sweeter Than Candy has a freebie wall. There are both men's and women's clothes.

At Prinny's Prims, you'll find several jewelry freebies: An amethyst necklace for 1L, blue/white diamond chokers for free, an Isis necklace. Nice stuff :)

Grendel's

I haven't posted about Grendel's before, because I kind of assumed everyone knew about it - but not so!

Start with the fact that Grendel's is an absolutely incredible build to explore. Add in the fact that they offer a ton of unique freebies, and you're set! Go in and grab some of their free avatars or dollarbie type replacers, they're a blast!

Saturday Freebies

For the builders, I have a nice find. Builders Choice Premier Textures has a freebie on four floors. Floor 1 has wallpapers , plus a Christmas window insert package. Floor 2 has a working Entertainment Center. Floor 3 has a complete set of functioning kitchen appliances and Floor 4 has a box of door textures. There's some really nice textures here, so if you like to build, check this place out :)

(Elate!) is offering a cute baby doll dress for 1L.

*ICED* has a 1L Star Dangle Choker, and everything in the main store is on sale for 25L because they're moving.

It's Almost Friday Freebies

So, I'm sitting at home somewhat bored, and decide to start hopping and seeing what pops up.

I stumbled across EROS Fashions by Keth, and right there, at the landing point, you don't even have to go into the store, are several nice freebies, including a pair of jeans for men and two ballgowns for women, along with camis in five different colors. Thinking that was pretty accommodating of them, I decided to spend some time looking around :)

Free initial pendent at Serendipity. I couldn't open it there, so I don't know if it's some random initial, or if you get all 26. In the clothing section, there's a free red sweater and jeans.

And one more....a pair of 66-color change stilettos at Unique Needs.

Mid-week Freebies

*yawn* It's early here in Texas, but wanted to give you a couple of mid-week freebies.

First, in honor of the Beijing Olympics, G&N Quality Design is offering a free warmup suit....very cute! Look for the Olympic display, there are t-shirts supporting your country for only 25L, and a freebie box of clothes.

At Topaz Square, you'll find a pair of free heels.

Tickled Pink is offering 1L fat packs on some of their hairs, grab these quick! The styles are called Chantal and Twisted. They're on the top row of the display, and there's another style on the table for 1L.

ALB Dream Fashion is offering a free Native American outfit (female) which is really cute, and a pair of heels that are definitely a fashion statement *giggle*. They're cute, check them out.

You know that there are a multitude of freebie blogs out there, and each of us run our blogs our own way, and that's absolutely fine. I haven't linked to any before, but that's really an oversight on my part and I'll be fixing that immediately.

One blog, Fabulously Free in SL, offers freebies as well, and is run by Cherlindrea Lamont. Cherlindrea's approach is different than mine, and she's been around far longer. She gives you pictures and reviews, and tells you what groups offer gifts. I simply don't have that kind of time, so I give the shotgun approach that I do.

Cherlindrea has also set up headquarters in-world, where she has accumulated dozens of freebies and dollarbies in one location. I admit - I'm jealous. I'd love to be able to offer this kind of service for my readers, and perhaps some day I can. For now, run by Cherlindrea's location and grab what you can. :)
